I am an NYU student who will be living in housing for the 2009-2010 academic year. If I choose to stay in Summer Housing for Summer 2010, I can choose to remain in my room from the school year, correct? And if so, can I also request a specific roommate who was not in summer housing during the school year so that he can live with me?

Yes, you may request to stay in your Academic Year assignment during the summer. Yes, you may request to live with a non-NYU student during the summer. However, since both are requests, we cannot necessarily guarantee that we will be able to grant your requests.
