hello,
I read the post on there not being allowed a roommate who is not taking classes for the first week of classes. Therefore, would someone who is not taking classes not be able to apply for housing beginning May 17? If I am traveling with someone who is not taking classes, would it be best to try to take a class that starts later?
Also, are guests allowed for the first week?

During the first week of Summer Housing, we are only able to accommodate NYU students and residents taking classes beginning during the first week of the summer. Because our staff is not in a position to accept all of the Summer Housing Residents that first week, exceptions cannot be made. Please keep in mind that guests are welcome during the first week of the summer.
