1. Do I need to submit a payment with my application?
If you're applying with the paper application, yes. You may submit full payment (amount due for full reservation) or a minimum three-week payment with the application. For more information about how to calculate your payment, click here. If you are applying online, you can either pay at the time of application with a credit card or personal check on-line. If you wish to pay by money order, you may submit your application online, and then submit your payment with your printed confirmation within one week of submitting your online application.

2. Can I send the application in now and make payment at a later date?
No. Applications submitted without a minimum three-week payment, will not be processed.

3. If I submit the three week minimum payment with my application, when is the rest of my payment for Summer Housing due?
If you choose to submit the three week minimum payment with your application, the balance must be paid in full by the first Friday following your Sunday check-in.

4. If I authorized full payment when I submitted my Summer Housing Application, can I call and ask that it be changed to the minimum payment?
No. Payment amounts cannot be changed once they have been processed by the Office of Summer Housing.

5. Do I pay the 'Enrolled' rate or the 'Associate' rate?
In order to be eligible to receive the 'enrolled" rate, an applicant must be registered in an NYU summer course for one (1) or more credits and must complete that course. If you are not registered for summer courses at NYU, or if you are registered for a non-credit summer course at NYU, you must pay the 'associate' rate. For additional information, please click here.

6. I'm not sure if I'm taking a class for credit or not. What should I put on the application?
If you believe you will be taking a summer course at NYU for credit, you may apply and pay at the enrolled rate. However, we will check to verify your enrollment in early July. If you have not registered for an NYU summer course for credit, or have failed to complete a course for credit, you will be re-charged at the associate rate.

7. Who is eligible for NYU Summer Housing?
NYU Summer Housing accepts applications from both NYU and non-NYU students. Applicants do not have to be registered for NYU summer classes, however, priority is given to applicants enrolled in NYU credit and noncredit courses. Note: Participants of the NYU Precollege Program are not eligible for summer housing.

8. What is the age requirement for Summer Housing?
Applicants must be at least 17 years of age on the date their reservation is scheduled to begin. Proof of age may be required.
